Coffee Sign Poster

Description

This is a calligraphic representation of an Ottoman Turkish poem written by the 17th century scholar Veysî Bey. 

The meaning of this poem has provided many with a sense of longing during difficult times. The meaning transcends any language or cultural barrier, as it is reminicient of warm feelings of kinship and peace with a friend over coffee during turbulent times.

Come, the coffee has brewed

Come, the foam is starting to overflow

My day is pleasant, o friends

The bad days will pass, come
